She is co-editor and contributor to Women’s Work in Public Relations and has published work on professionalism and identity in PR practice. Professor Williams is also a founding member of A Woman’s Labour Collective .
Prof. Sarah Williams is a highly accomplished academic and industry professional, holding the title of Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is also a Chartered Manager, a Certified Management and Business Educator, and an accredited member of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
Prof. Williams specializes in digital marketing, leadership and gender, and the professionalism and lived experiences in public relations (PR). She is the co-author of the influential book Women’s Work in Public Relations, published in 2024, which explores the evolving role of women in the PR profession. Her subject expertise and leadership have earned her prominent roles such as Senior Examiner for CIM’s postgraduate programmes and Co-Chair of the CIPR Midlands Committee.
